The Whitsunday Organic
Bed & Breakfast is set amongst tropical gardens with
ocean views over the Whitsunday Islands.
Creating a relaxed and friendly holiday atmosphere,
we offer only 6 rooms that are spacious, modern and
light filled.
Relax in a hammock on the balcony, in the gardens or
courtyard. Our
house has been designed with sustainable features in
mind and reflects our philosophy of sustainable
living.
To
minimize the impact on our environment we have
harnessed energy efficient sources and have used
solar panels and an eco-friendly cooling insulation
system. We also have a fresh rainwater tank for
cooking and drinking water. We have used recycled
building materials and organic finishes and
products. The timber that features in our house is
Camphor - Laurel. We also use biodegradable,
chemical free cleaning products.
20% of our profits are invested in sustainable
agriculture and environmental projects and we support
Green Power. The
building has been completely renovated and
redesigned by Jonathon and Penny Taylor 'Brett
'Functional Ard Designs Studios' Qld. The interior
design includes beautiful art features from their
workshop and Art Gallery in Cooroy.

The
Whitsunday Organic Guest House prides itself on
using wholesome organic ingredients, eg. fresh
tropical fruits and vegetables and organic chicken.
Our menu includes locally caught fish. In season we
use fresh garden vegetables, salad greens and herbs
from our own organic vegetable garden.
Choose from our delicious breakfast menu which
includes tropical fruit, freshly squeezed juices,
biodynamic yoghurt, wholesome bread, fresh organic
eggs, nutritious cereals and locally grown coffee,
and from our organic dinner menu.
Our
Organic Bed & Breakfast overlooks Airlie Beach – the
gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great
Barrier Reef. It is only 250m to the village with
its choice of cafes, restaurants and shops and the
Airlie Beach Lagoon, yet our house is quietly
positioned in a natural setting of organic fruit and
nut trees and tropical plants.
Our area has so much to offer,
from sailing to bush walking, swimming to diving. A
vast variety of activities can be arranged by us and
also pre-booked. Ask us for a recommendation. We
will book you on the very best value tours. |
