HUNTER VALLEY  - BARRINGTON TOPS

Craigmhor Mountain Retreat is located in the Upper Hunter Valley/ Barrington Tops region of New South Wales.  A region famous for its spectacular scenery, wilderness areas,  horse studs,  beef cattle and  vineyards.

2400 acres of AUSTRALIAN BUSH

Craigmhor is part of the 1000ha (2400acre) property "Ailsa Craig" at the head of the Rouchel valley. All the heavily timbered mountains beyond the two ridges in the foreground are part of  "Ailsa Craig"

ROUCHEL  BROOK

Rouchel Brook winds its way from the Mount Royal Range and the Barrington Tops National Park through a picturesque rural valley to join the Hunter River just below Glenbawn Dam.

The Craigmhor house exact location is:   longitude 151º16', latitude 32º 5'S, 610m above sea level.

WRITTEN  DIRECTIONS

  1. New England Highway at Aberdeen - turn onto Rouchel Road - Segenhoe Inn on the corner

  2. Follow Rouchel Road to the end of the tar - 27 km.   Tar ends at the Junction Bridge over Rouchel Brook

  3. Immediately after the Junction  Bridge there is a "Y" intersection.  Take the LEFT fork - Upper Rouchel Road

  4. Follow Upper Rouchel Road for 21 km until there is a gate ACROSS the road.  There is a set of wooden cattle yards immediately to the right.

  5. Go through the gate and take the next road to the left across a cattle ramp (about 100 m after the gate).  Craigmhor house is 1 kilometre up this road
