Historic Bond Springs Homestead is sited
on the banks of a tree lined creek, a tributary of the
normally dry Todd River within the majestic MacDonnell
ranges. The Homestead is twenty minutes drive north of Alice
Springs and a further fifteen minutes from the town's busy
airport.
Bond Springs Station is a working cattle
station spread over 1500 square kilometers of arid zone
land. The Station is owned by the Heaslip family , a family
with long traditions in the outback South Australian and
Northern Territory pastoral industry. At Bond Springs Poll
Hereford cattle are bred for local and international beef
markets.
Janice has renovated and restored the
homestead's guest accommodation in the style of "early
Australiana" appropriate to the historic significance of the
house. This "labour of love" is appreciated by all who visit
Bond Springs Homestead as Janice has acquired some fine
pieces to establish this decor. But above all the accent is
on comfort. For the guest Bond Springs Outback Retreat is a
place to relax and be pampered.
