Wartook
Gardens is situated in the beautiful Wartook Valley,
on the western edge of the massive 1670 square
kilometre Grampians National Park, in western
Victoria.
We are known as the "sunny side" of the Grampians as
we receive approximately 60 percent of the rain-fall
of Halls Gap.
The weather is generally mild. Our annual rainfall
is about 23 inches (580mm) per annum, with most
falling in the winter/early spring. We generally
experience long summers with little or no rain.
Although it is often very warm, the very low
humidity maintains comfort. We may often experience
frost in the winter, but only around 0 to -3
degrees, and usually followed by a mild sunny day.
The area is very calm, and there are few occasions
during the year when it is very windy. It is a great
climate for outdoor activities.
Wartook Gardens and the Grampians is indeed, an all
season destination.
