Relax and while
away the hours beside our undercover fish pond where
we can serve dinner or breakfast, or simply enjoy a
quiet moment with a book. This all-weather outdoor
area is ideal for quiet afternoons or romantic
evenings. Using the Homestead as your home base, you
can discover at your leisure, all the Adelaide Hills
have to offer. May we suggest you spend 2 or 3 days
here, to really appreciate this unique part of South
Australia.
As you travel
around the Hills, you will notice the thousands of
apple, pear, stone fruit and cherry trees, and
vegetables of many varieties. In addition there are
numerous thoroughbred horse and cattle studs and
dairy farms. Wine-grape growing is expanding very
rapidly, and it is anticipated that the Hills Area
will soon equal the Barossa Valley in terms of
volume produced, thus reclaiming its position held
earlier last century as one of the leading
Australian wine-producing areas. Hills wines are
internationally acclaimed as some of the world's
finest. A comprehensive list of wineries is
available in your suite.
