Oscars offers five
individually decorated king size rooms with
excellent river views. All rooms have their own
generous ensuite, king size bed, television and
fully stocked bar fridge. The premier suite offers
further luxury with its own spacious sitting area
and a double shower in the ensuite.
Walking through the
wrought iron French gates into a courtyard filled
with the perfume of lavender and roses does not
prepare one for the superbly decorated interior of
Oscars.
At first, your breath is
taken away by the striking 'Gone With the Wind'
staircase leading to the bedroom level. Then, with
little warning, your attention will be drawn to the
river and you will wander through the Breakfast Room
and out through French doors to the spacious
verandah overlooking the Port Fairy boardwalk –
don't be surprised to see crayfish and abalone being
unloaded.
Breakfasts are a gourmet delight at Oscars cooked by
resident chef Elizabeth McLean.
Varying from season to season,
you’ll always find favourites on the menu such as
berry hotcakes, tomato bruschetta with basil butter
and, of course, Oscars' bacon and eggs.
